Useful in two main ways: when you want to process something while you're doing something else — walking, driving, cooking — and when you want to hear your own writing read back to catch tone issues that are invisible on a screen.

It's especially useful for things that need to land emotionally, not just intellectually. Pep talks, honest feedback, a message you've been drafting that you want to hear in a voice before you send it.
